Me Gautier Aubert

Mr Gautier Aubert studied law at the Université de Neuchâtel (Bachelor & Master of Law, 2006-2012. In 2011, he spent one semester at the Columbia Law School in New York, as an exchange student. After having successfully passed the bar exam in Neuchatel in 2014, Mr Aubert joined FIFA’s disciplinary department in Zurich in January 2015. From August 2017 until Fall 2018, Mr Aubert headed FIFA’s Ethics department and as such acted as Secretary to FIFA’s Ethics Committee. This role enabled him to travel various times and to establish several contacts worldwide in the sports field.

In parallel to his activity as attorney-at-law, Mr Aubert works, since July 2020, as a clerk for the Tribunal of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). In addition, Mr Aubert has been appointed, in March 2023, as the first Ethics Officer of the World Anti-Doping Agency (AMA-WADA). As such, he is responsible for managing cases as they arise within the framework of the Code of Ethics.

Of French mother tongue, Mr Aubert is fluent in English and can communicate in German, Spanish and Italian. He is thus able to advise and represent you in several languages.

Member of the Ordre des Avocats Neuchâtelois (OAN), of the Fédération Suisse des Avocats (FSA), and of the Association Suisse de Droit du Sport (ASDS), Mr Aubert is a sports lover, with a particular focus on football. In this respect, and in addition to the functions he holds for the FEI and WADA, Mr. Aubert is also a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the Association Neuchâteloise de Football (ANF), and a member of the Appeal Commission of the Amateur League of the Swiss Football Association (ASF).
