After obtaining his bar exam in 2015, Mr Hug was an SNSF doctoral student at the University of Neuch\u00e2tel. From 2017 to 2018, Mr Hug worked as a law clerk at the Federal Administrative Court. In November 2018, he founded the law firm Aubert-Hug. From 1 January 2024, he will join forces with Oriane Aubert, Gautier Aubert, Jonathan Jenny and Caroline Sidler to form the firm A2L.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Hug holds a PhD from the University of Neuch\u00e2tel (2019), where he teaches Consumer law and taught Contract law (2024). He also has academic and teaching experience at the Universities of Lausanne (2021) and Leuven (Belgium; 2022), as well as at the HE-Arc Business School (2020-2021). He has also been a lecturer in Obligation law at Bachelor level at the University of Zurich (2023). Mr Hug is also the author, co-author and editor of various scientific publications on these subjects, including in European journals (see Mr Hug’s publication list), as well as conferences (see Mr Hug’s list of conferences)<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Hug is also interested in commercial arbitration and is currently taking the CAS in Arbitration course offered by the Universities of Neuch\u00e2tel and Lucerne in conjunction with the Swiss Arbitration Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Hug’s mother tongues are French and (Swiss)German, and he is also fluent in English. He is able to advise you in all areas of law, with a particular focus on the law of obligations, contract law, consumer law and arbitration. In particular, Mr Hug offers his services as an arbitrator in the context of disputes submitted to this form of dispute resolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Hug is a member of the Ordre des Avocats Neuch\u00e2telois (OAN<\/a>), the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Suisse des Avocats (FSA<\/a>), ), the General Assembly, the Financial Services Ombudsman (FINSOM<\/a>), ) and the Centre belge d’arbitrage et de m\u00e9diation (CEPANI<\/a>).
